A day at Adventure in Learning

Ever wondered what a typical day looks like at Adventure in Learning?

Our day runs from 9:30am through to 2:20pm, with every part of the timetable designed to support learning, wellbeing and personal growth for our primary and secondary pupils.

A day at AIL

Arrival, reflect and plan. Pupils settle in, take time to reflect and prepare for the day ahead.

Learning that matters. Sessions include Maths and English along with a chosen subject, such as Science, History, PSHE, Digital Literacy or Financial Education.

Sport and wellbeing. Sporting interventions throughout the day help pupils manage their emotions, release energy positively and rebuild confidence.

Afternoon activities. Planned activities provide opportunities to develop life skills, build relationships and learn through practical experiences. Our pupils take part in cycling, rock climbing and many more ways to build their confidence and resilience.

Five things you might not know about us

  1. We offer a tutoring service alongside our primary and secondary provision. It’s designed to support pupils who struggle within a setting, and we offer it face to face, online, at home or at a venue close to where the pupil feels comfortable.

  2. Sport is about more than physical activity. Our sporting interventions support social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping pupils develop confidence and positive ways to manage their energy.

  3. Self-esteem matters. Our dedicated team works to ensure every pupil feels valued, supported and encouraged to recognise their strengths.

  4. We create opportunities for achievement. Pupils can work towards Sports Leadership qualifications and AQA Unit Awards, celebrating progress and developing new skills.

  5. Every pupil is an individual. We focus on specific needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, helping young people develop a sense of belonging and reconnect with education in a way that works for them.

At Adventure in Learning, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to feel included, build confidence and succeed.
